"Untitled-(The Farmhouse)" by Pierre Auguste Renoir is a rare artwork depicting a farmhouse separated by a fence, over which lies a beautiful pond with birds and ducks swimming in it. A pencil description on the reverse identifies this painting as a landscape near Annecy (in the Haute-Savoie region of France), but the scenery depicted here bears little resemblance to the Lac d'Annecy. Areas of brushwork, for example the foliage in the right background, are reminiscent of works by Cézanne, whom Renoir visited in 1888 and 1889. About the Art Prints
