"Untitled (Krishna on Kaliya), 1991" is a famous spiritual painting by the Indian master Narayan Shridhar Bendre depicting the Kaliya Daman scene from Hindu Mythology. Kaliya, was a dangerously poisonous Naga living in the Yamuna river, in Vrindavan who was finally dominated by Krishna to save all the living beings from Kaliya's venom and terror. N S Bendre was well-known as the supreme landscapist, a composer and master of colours. He was immensely influenced by miniature painting.
