About The Garden of Saint Paul's Hospital the Fall of the Leaves
A group of trees with tall, bare trunks and dense crowns, falling leaves borne by the wind, and a lonely wanderer. This study, called 'The fall of the leaves' by Van Gogh himself, was probably done in or near the garden of the hospital where he was staying at the time. The painter chose a high vantage point and an unusual composition, in which the dark-red tree trunks in the foreground that have been cut off on both sides divide the composition vertically in two.About the Art Prints
