Plum Park in Kameido is a woodblock print in the ukiyo-e genre by Yoshikazu It was published in 1853. It portrays a gathering of people on an occassion. Utagawa Yoshikazu was born in Edo (Tokyo) where he stayed for the rest of his life. He began his printmaking career as a pupil of Kuniyoshi Utagawa. Yoshikazu is a major printmaker for the ukiyo-e genre of yokohama-e, woodblock prints depicting foreigners and Western attributes unknown for the common people in Japan before the forced opening of the country in 1854 in the Treaty of Kanagawa with the United States of America.
