About Pindapatha George Keyt
Pindapatha is a profound and contemplative work by legendary modern artist George Keyt, inspired by the Buddhist practice of alms-gathering. The term Pindapatha refers to the humble ritual in which monks walk silently to receive food, symbolizing renunciation, discipline, and spiritual devotion.Rendered in Keyt’s distinctive Cubist-influenced style, the artwork features simplified forms, strong lines, and a restrained yet expressive composition that conveys serenity and inner stillness. The painting reflects Keyt’s deep engagement with Buddhist philosophy and Sri Lankan cultural themes.
