About Gopur Minashi
"Gopur Minashi" is an exquisite oleograph by the Indian master Raja Ravi Varma, shows the Goddess Meenakshi, an Avatar of the Goddess Parvati, standing under the towering gopuram, which is a monumental gatehouse tower, usually ornate, at the entrance of a Hindu temple, in the Dravidian architecture of the states of Southern India. Intrigued by the popularility of lithographic printing in the European countries, Ravi Varma first started a press in Mumbai and later shifted it to a place near Lonavala. Through the press, he published tons of oleographs, depicting Hindu gods and goddesses.About the Art Prints
