Nirvana: The Icons of Grunge and Generation X. Formed in 1987, Nirvana redefined the landscape of modern rock. Led by the enigmatic Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and powerhouse drummer Dave Grohl, the band became the definitive voice of Generation X. By fusing punk-rock intensity with infectious pop melodies, they catapulted the Seattle grunge scene into a global phenomenon, effectively ending the era of hair metal.

Their 1991 masterpiece, Nevermind, with its lead single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," served as a cultural earthquake, shifting the music industry toward alternative rock and becoming the definitive anthem of the 90s. Despite their brief career, which ended tragically with Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, Nirvana is one of the most influential bands in history with over 75 million records sold.

Nirvana’s albums – Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero and MTV Unplugged, with masterpieces like Come As You Are, Heart-Shaped Box and All Apologies led to major awards like a Grammy, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Inducted in the their first year of eligibility), MTV Video Music Awards (7 wins) and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
