Among 150 masterworks to be offered in November at Christie’s New York, at least three French Post-Impressionist paintings each carry an estimated value in excess of US$100 million. Paul Cezanne’s La montagne Sainte-Victoire, an oil-on-canvas painted in 1888-90, has a presale estimate of more than US$120 million. Montagne Sainte-Victoire is a mountain in southern France, overlooking Aix-en-Provence.
