Set of 8 Andy Warhol’s Portraits of Alexander The Great Paintings - Canvas Gallery Wraps (18 x 18 inches) each

In 1983, under commission for the Searching for Alexander exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Warhol created a screenprint of the Greek emperor Alexander the Great. The print depicts the victorious leader in harsh profile, gazing into the distance against a blood red background. By the 1980s Warhol had begun to apply the same graphic language he had used to create his iconic celebrity portraits to the motifs of Art History.
  • This is a set of 8 gallery wrapped art prints each measuring 18 x 18 inches.
  • High resolution printing on premium artistic canvas, by using a high-quality gallery wrapping technique which extends the picture all the way around the wooden frame.
  • And metal hanging hooks already nailed on the frame.
  • The canvas art is ready to hang out of the box.
