Thomas Daniell and his nephew William Daniell were British artists and topographical painters known for their detailed depictions of India during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Thomas (1749–1840) and William (1769–1837) traveled extensively across India, creating a vast collection of paintings and engravings that captured the architecture, landscapes, and daily life of the region. Their most famous work, Oriental Scenery, consists of a series of aquatints that played a crucial role in shaping European perceptions of India.
